WE DO TRAINING!

Falcon Equipment Ltd. offers 2 day courses for both Articulating (Knuckle) and Stiff boom cranes. These courses provide individual crane operators the knowledge to operate their equipment safely and effectively on the job site. Upon completion of the course content, the operator will be properly prepared for their certification assessment by BCACS.

The course is run from our Surrey location, but we also have the option of sending the trainer to you (extra cost will be applied). Cost of the 2 day course is $675.00 per person plus applicable taxes ($200.00 No Show Fee).

STABILITY CERTIFICATION

When a crane manufacturer designs a crane, they have no prior knowledge of the vehicle in which the crane will be mounted. As a result, the stability of the entire package can vary from application to application, and the load carried by a truck-mounted crane may have to be reduced due to the stability of the system. The primary factors that determine stability are weight and dimensions of the truck, the dimensions and locations of any outriggers/stabilizers, and the mounting location of the crane itself.

It is mandatory that all truck-mounted cranes must be tested for stability, in accordance with BC occupational health and safety regulation Section 14.2(5)(a)&(c). For this reason we perform tests on all new installations, as well as offering the service to anyone who requires it for an existing crane.
